Dancehall star Elephant Man to perform in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe music lovers are set for continued international treats this year as at least three reggae artists and one American hip hopper are destined to hit Zim stages.

 

Jamaican dancehall star Elephant Man is the latest international artist to join the great trek to Zimbabwe after announcing a concert in Harare on June 24.

 

The Willie Bounce star posted a video on YouTube announcing the gig set for the Glamis Arena in Harare.

 

Elephant Man will join a long list of international stars who have performed in Zimbabwe over the last year including Joe Thomas, Luciano, Akon, Sean Paul, Ciara, Fat Joe, Sizzla, Lil' Kim and Sean Kingston.

 

Elephant Man appeared in high spirits in the minute-long video posted on YouTube in which he announced: "June 2011, remember June the 24th, Zimbabwe that's where we gonna be. And remember we don't finish, it don't stop.

 

"Remember I am not lying this ain't no playing thing, this ain't no game."

 

Ragga MC, Templeman confirmed to that "three international artists" would perform in the country, "We have something like  two minutes of video clips for each of these artists confirming their coming to Zimbabwe," said DJ Templeman.

 

However, Templeman was not at liberty to disclose the names of these artists but a source said that the three artists were, Jamaican dance hall artists, Elephant Man (O'Neil Bryan) and Gyptian (Windel Beneto Edwards) along with the American This is why am Hot rapper,Mims (Shawn Mims).

 

The information provided by the close source concur with the countries which Templeman said the artists were coming from; two from Jamaica and one from America.

 

"We have two big artists coming from Jamaica, one of them can be weighed with the likes of Sizzla. The third one is from America, he is a hip hop artist," he said.

 

"One big Artist is coming in June, the venue has not been finalised, the other one who is also from Jamaica is coming in August and he will perform two shows at Andy Miller, then that one from America is scheduled for October but I am still to confirm about the venue," said Templeman.
