Law does not favour Zanu PF corrupt officials says Maziwisa

Zanu deputy information director Psychology Maziwisa says there is no separates party members from ordinary Zimbabweans warning that everyone caught engaging in corrupt activities would be arrested.
"Under President Mugabe's current government, we're likely to see disreputable officials being sacked and facing prosecution. Already all of us can see what sort of change he is determined to bring to our parastatals," Maziwisa said.
"And that is what makes President Mugabe's present stance on corruption all the more heroic.bCorrupt civil servants will be fired, lawyers who abuse trust funds will be struck off- and even those in the private sector will soon discover they are not beyond reach.
"Let's put it this way: anyone who's found with their hands in the till- whoever they are- President Mugabe is committed to making sure they find themselves at Chikurubi Maximum prison with a reputation so contaminated they could never work again.
"And it doesn't matter you belong to the ruling party. President Mugabe has made a public statement that there's no separate law for ZANU PF supporters and another for the general public. For anyone who cares about good governance and decency in our public life, this is cause for great joy."
Maziwisa said the rot in government started under MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai's watch in the inclusive government.
"It is important to remember that some of the disgusting revelations that are coming out now were either started or perpetuated during the tenure of the coalition government and Morgan Tsvangirai, as the chap responsible for all government ministries, did absolutely nothing about it," he said.
