A Stanmore villager in Gwanda is in trouble after he bought two cattle from a Fort Rixon villager on credit and disappeared without paying until a police report was made.

Jabulisa Moyo (37) was not asked to plead to fraud when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Gladmore Mushove.

The magistrate remanded him out of custody to 28 November on $100 bail.

The court heard that the complainant Sam Mlotshwa (63) and Moyo entered into an agreement that Moyo buys his two cattle on credit on 13 January 2016 and they cleared the cattle with the police. He promised to pay on January 14 after slaughtering the cattle but never turned up to pay.

Mlotshwa tried to contact him to no avail prompting him to report to the police. The total value of the cattle was $1000 and Moyo was later arrested.
