Ndebele vultures fight for VP position left vacant by Mohadi

10 Mar 2021 at 02:52hrs | Views
When you see vultures circling in the air and perching on the nearby tree branches you know that prey has fallen close by. The unceremonious fall of the 2nd Vice President of Zimbabwe, Kembo Mohadi has opened a gold mine of bread crumbs for buzzards from Matabeleland. For those few who are motivated by the politics of the stomach, the VP position, as they affectionately call it, will put the one whose name would be called by the appointing authority closer to the master's tables in Harare. In Harare, as long as one sings well for their supper, sees nothing, hears nothing and says nothing, bread crumbs shall keep on falling.

It is business as usual in Matabeleland. The VP position is of little political significance to Matabele people. That is why the resignation of 2nd Vice President and the most junior in the presidium, Kembo Mohadi, is of no importance in Matabeleland. People went on with their business as if nothing happened. The situation will remain the same when Mohadi's replacement is announced.

The Shona supremacists may hoodwink the world into thinking that Matabeleland and Zimbabwe aka Mashonaland are united and tell everyone who cares to listen that Zimbabwe is a unitary state. But they cannot deceive Matabele masses.

The people of Matabeleland are politically alert and aware that the VP position is a political trap and a dummy aimed at keeping Matabeles suffering under Shona supremacist oppression. They know that the Shona supremacist presidium is complete with Emmerson Mnangagwa (Shona) as President and Constantino Chiwenga (Shona) as his deputy, power resides with these two. The 2nd vice president from Matabeleland is an extra or dummy that wilds no political power. Believe me, a12 year old in a Zanupf youth cell somewhere in Mutoko is more senior than the 2nd vice president as long as he/she has a Shona name and surname. This political arrangement has been in place for 33 years and that is too long to fool anybody in Matabeleland.

The alert Matabele Masses are very much aware that the 1st VP (Shona) is standing guard to take over the presidency should the
sitting president be incapacitated. He is standing on guard to make sure that not even by a slightest mistake, the 2nd vice President (Matabele) takes over political power in Zimbabwe.

Even Joshua Nkomo, the first Matabele to be 2nd Vice President of Zimbabwe in 1987 was told by the people of Matabeleland, "Mdala suthengise ilizwe" ( you have sold out). Being a gifted orator that he was, he spoke his way out of trouble but this is a subject for another day. In the same vein we tell the hungry and greedy Judases of our time, "liyathengisa."

All the eyes in Matabeleland are more focused on Matabeleland restoration cause. Matabeles are least  interested in the toxic politics of tribal hatred, tribal domination, tribal oppression, coups, corruption, election rigging, failure to run the economy and genocides as practiced in Zimbabwe.

Their eyes are more focused on  Matabeleland restoration. A very good cause that will see Matabeleland statehood restored and re- emerge as a republic, the independent and sovereign Republic of Matabeleland. No doubt, it will be a breath of fresh air for the people of Matabeleland who cannot breath under Shona
tribal oppression!

MLO  leads the independence calls for Matabeleland and we will be glad to deliver the Republic of Matabeleland in one piece. That we will do with diligence, vigour and great pride.

Let the hungry hurry to Harare. Let the political blind feast on the bread crumbs in Harare while we shift the rug from underneath their feet in Matabeleland.

Give us Matabeleland or death!

Izenzo kungemazwi!
