United Kingdom based Bongani Mafu donated football equipment worth over 4000 pounds to Lobengula Miracle Centre Juniors (LMC).

Mafu who has passion for junior football and has contributed immersely to the development of football in Bulawayo Metropolitan Province went a step further by availing equipment to the Lobengula based juniors club that was promoted to the elite Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Serie A a yardstick in Junior development in the country.

Mafu's generous New Year's gift to the Lobengula and Bulawayo community at large follows hard on the heels of another early Christmas present for the development of the game in Bulawayo when Canada based Isaac Mbedzi also donated footballing kits worth ovetr US$5000 to Highlanders Academy and Zimbabwe Football Association Bulawayo Metropolitan Province. This shows the confidence the diasporans have in our Junior Development in Bulawayo Province.

What is striking is that the two are former coaches Bulawayo's dusty grounds who have at one point have worked with one soccer ball to the ratio of 30 kids and have not been selfish enough to extend their hands to plough back to the struggling league with so much ambition and passion.

In a statement, Ajax Hotspurs Football Club said, on behalf of all other Clubs in our junior league they would like to thank the two gentlemen for their king investment in the development of the game in the province.

"Messers Mafu and Mbedzi, Ajax Hotspurs, the other Junior League Clubs, Zifa Bulawayo Metropolitan Province and the Junior League have not enough words to thank you. You are our shinning light," added the statement.
