Highlanders will on Friday release the names of the players that would have made it into their 2011 Premiership squad ahead of the start of the season on March 19.
"We will only be able to release the list of the players on Friday at a press conference. For now, I cannot give you the names except to say that everything that has to do with player signings and registration will be cleared on Friday. "There are still a few loose ends that still have to be tied with some players," Andrew Tapela said.
Also outstanding is the issue of captain Gilbert Banda, who is also yet to sign a contract with the Bulawayo soccer giants, but he has played in the last two friendly matches.
Veteran striker Chipo Tsodzo, who did not renew his contract, has been conspicuous by his absence. From the old guard, Gift Lunga is said to have signed a one year contract, so has Bekithemba Ndlovu, Rahman Kutsanzira, Innocent Mapuranga and goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda.
Bruce Kangwa is on a two-year contract, while defender Lawson Nkomo is on three-year deal.
Juniors Honest Moyo and Arnold Ndiweni, who featured in the last two friendly matches have reportedly signed five-year contracts.
Highlanders lost eight players at the end of the 2010 season.
They lost the Ngodzo brothers Zephania and Joel, Brighton Dube, Francis Kanda and Mernard Mupera to FC Platinum. Simbarashe Gate is training with Zimbabwe Saints while Takunda Mapara is with Masvingo United where promising junior Welcome Ndiweni has also set up base.
