ZIMBABWE international striker, Knowledge Musona, survived the dreaded chop when his Germany team TSG Hoffeinheim avoided automatic relegation from the Bundesliga.
Musona, who is on loan at Augsburg, also saw the team avoid relegation after finishing fourth- from-bottom in the top division in Germany.
The Warriors striker was facing a double blow as his parent club TSG Hoffeinheim was also starring relegation but will now have the second bite of the cherry after they finished third-from-bottom.
They will now feature in the promotional matches.
SpVgg Greuther Furth, the team which once had an interest in Mamelodi Sundowns striker Nyasha Mushekwi when the season began, were relegated together with Fortuna Dusseldorf.
On Saturday, Augsburg hammered Greuther Furth 3-0 to secure their future in the Bundesliga.
