The popular Zimbabwean-Mzansi based multifaceted artist 'Madlela Skhobokhobo Power' will drop the much awaited rhumba music video for his hit song 'Samamoe,' on Friday 18 November 2016 in Johannesburg.
Shilolo Media House, the producer of Madlela, told Switchbod Arts Magazine that the music video is a concoction of pure rhumba beats, traditional story telling, drama and dance.
"Samamoe is a track taken from my album 'Idlozi lolaka,' a title adapted from a theatre production where the song was used as a back stage sound," said Madlela.
Switchbod is further informed that apart from rhumba genre, Madlela has also composed a Hip-hop single which has a video featuring the popular Bulawayo comedians 'Omkhula',entitled 'Ubulema buyingozi'.
The hit song ,amongst other acts, will also be played in Bulawayo White City stadium on the 26th of November at an event dubbed "We Honour Our Music Legends Concert," and during the Cape Town Tour scheduled for the 4th of December 2016, in a show billed for R100-00.
"I am giving away this video as an early Christmas present to my fans out there, and I tell you the next album will surprise the world. I will release it in March next year and I promise a hot 13 track world class album," said Madlela-the offspring of Dlamdlam Ka S'punepune.
"I know they are waiting for Golide and other songs but I will soon release them, I am working on their spectacle, as you know I do not just sing but I tell a story through my songs, by right I am a story teller and I enjoy it like that. So my album can have any track from any genre, that's Madlela for you," he continued.
Switchbod learns that the musical story is no longer the same as in the audio , it has been added some more comic flavour to underline Madlela's signature.
According to Shilolo the music video will be uploaded on YouTube for free downloading on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Madlela appealed to the public to vote for him as he is nominated for the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards under the People's Choice Category and his name there goes as "Mothusi Madlela Ndlovu."
