WARY of the growing number of cases of stock theft in his area, Chief Khulumani Mathema from Wenlock Communal Lands has revealed that he is considering evicting a local businessman from his community.
The businessman from Konongwe farming area was arrested in December last year for alleged stock theft after he and his four employees were found in possession of three carcasses and two live beasts which were all identified by owners.
Chief Mathema said after extensive consultation, he had resolved to force the businessman and his wife to vacate their current farm and move elsewhere.
He said his recent arrest was not the first time that he had been involved with such an incident. However, the businessman's case is yet to be concluded by the courts.
