Chitungwiza council to construct Manyame footbridge

Chitungwiza municipality is set to construct a footbridge across the Manyame River in order to provide convenience for residents crossing to and from the area.

Several people are reported to have been killed by floods while attempting to cross the River.

Public Relations officer Zephaniah Mandirahwe said the project willl be a major  boost to the Manyame area upon completion.

"The foot bridge will provide safe access across the river in recent times several cases of drowning and crocodile attacks have happened at the make shift bridge in existence.

"The civil Protection Unit and the Roads and Pothole Trust of Zimbabwe will finance the project," he said.
