The current Zimbabwe situation is a bit confusing for citizens and the international community following claims that President Robert Mugabe is under house arrest  when he is today capping graduates at the Zimbabwe Open University in Harare.

Reports were alleging that Mugabe is confined to his private residence in Harare after the military intervened in the Zanu PF political disturbances which they alleged were a threat to the country's security.

On Thursday the under pressure 93-year-old leader was spotted leaving his house and had a meeting with Gen Chiwenga and the Sadc envoy at State House.

Today Mugabe is officiating the ZOU graduation contrary to the reports that he is confined to his residence.

African Union Chair  and Guinean president Alpha Conde told the media that the military intervention in Zimbabwe "seems like a coup".

Confusion has rocked citizens as to what is surrounding the Mugabe, army debacle as their hope was that the military was aimed at forcing him to step down to save the country.
