The Zanu-PF party has embarked on cell verification exercise in various provinces across the country.
The verification process is meant to ensure that members are aware of the polling stations where they will vote in the forthcoming elections set for either July or August.
In Mashonaland West Province, the party's bigwigs took part in the process which they say will help them align members to the polling station based biometric voter registration system.
Politburo member, Prisca Mupfumira verified her cell membership in Chitambo suburb in Chinhoyi, while Ziyambi Ziyambi, the party's Mashonaland West Chairperson also went through the process in Zowa.
The two senior politicians said the exercise is critical given that some members had to change their cells following the biometric voter registration which moved some registrants from one ward to the other.
Zanu-PF's Mashonaland Central Province leadership had to convene a special Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting to alert members on the need to verify.
The PCC also reviewed ward based meetings throughout the province.
Speaking to the ZBC News after the special meeting, Zanu-PF Mashonaland Central Provincial Chairperson, Kazembe Kazembe said the meeting covered a number of issues relating to strengthening the party through verifying the existence of structures.
"This special meeting was meant to sensitise our provincial leadership on the need to verify the lower structures. The cell is the party's foundation and those are the people who matter most," he said.
The PCC also discussed the need for the party members to be united, with Kazembe saying no divisions will be tolerated in the province.
