Serious sabotage by Mvurwi police station has been witnessed by residents since the ushering in of the new era.
Last night two robberies reportedly occurred in Mvurwi where a tobacco farmer was robbed of his bank card and $8 before being assaulted by five men in odd hours.
Shorai Nzimba (39) from Donje farm alleges that he was robbed while coming from tobacco auction floors yesterday by the five and went to the police station to file a report where she saw a female cop manning the charge office but was shocked to be dismissed without being recorded a statement.
"I do not know how the police are now working these days, I was robbed yesterday by five robbers and went to the police station where I was told that the police could not assist me because I did not know my assailants and above all it was late," lamented Nzimba.
Nzimba further alleges that he met one of his assailants while coming from the police station.
In a related case another Chitungwiza man was also attacked and robbed of his belongings before being rushed to Mvurwi hospital by good Samaritans.
Meanwhile, Macdonald Sithole a garage owner at Cyclone Workshops reported a matter in which one of his customers Washington Usai came and towed his Subaru AED 2911 using spare keys.
Sithole reported the matter under RRB number 3511243 and was shocked to be dismissed by the IC crime only identified as Assistant Inspector Mudzikitiri saying police was not at liberty to assist him since he dimmed it a civil matter despite opening a docket of the case.
The Officer in Charge Mvurwi only identified as Chief-Inspector Chauke has been told by both the complainants and this reporter on matters surrounding his police and has promised to look into the matters for sanity to prevail at his station.
