HIGHLANDERS striker Gabriel Nyoni has warned rivals Dynamos ahead of their postponed league match despite a 2-0 loss in a President Mnangagwa inauguration challenge match on Sunday.

The speedy forward says without undermining the importance of the match on Sunday, it was a good chance for other players to impress.

Both teams made wholesome changes to their squads resting some key players for the commemorative match.

"It was an important game for us and good for those who came for the inauguration.

"This was also a chance for us to give other players who have not been playing a chance to see how we can accommodate them in the first team as well," he said.

The two giants are yet to meet in the league this season after the game dubbed 'battle of Zimbabwe' was postponed twice for different reasons.

Nyoni, who captained Bosso on Sunday, believes they are prepared for their perennial rivals DeMbare when the game is scheduled.

"We are still waiting for the Dynamos game in the league.

"We had prepared for it before it was postponed but we all know it's a very big game so we prepare for it accordingly," he added.

The Bulawayo giants play Shabanie Mine in their next fixture with Nyoni emphasizing the importance of winning their immediate games.

"As we wait for that game we have to be winning our games and we look forward to our next game against Shabanie.

"We have to be winning those games so that when we finally get to play against Dynamos we will be in high morale.
