Police in Centenary are looking for Tawanda Kavhukama of number 13 Westberry farm, Centenary who allegedly stabbed a one year old minor once on the head in protest over payment of a debt.
Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe appealed for information which may lead to the arrest of the attempted murder suspect.
We are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Kavhukama who allegedly stabbed a one year old minor once on the head under the influence of alcohol while protesting to settle a debt," Mundembe said.
Allegations are that Masango Ginger (40) of the same farm went to the suspect's house demanding his dues owed by the accused.
Kavhukama who was under the influence of alcohol refused to comply and his niece Esteri Madzivaweni (20) intervened by urging his uncle to pay back.
Kavhukama became furious and pulled a kitchen knife intending to stab Madzivaweni who had a baby strapped at her back.
He missed his target and stabbed the baby once on the head.
The baby sustained a deep cut and was rushed to St Alberts hospital where he was treated.
After committing the offence Kavhukama fled.
