Machete wielding illegal miners kill one, leaves four in agony

A gang of machete wielding illegal miners from Midlands aboard two kombis descended on Shamva mine and attacked five people killing one on the spot yesterday.
The gang was on a revenge mission after two of their colleagues were murdered last year in Shamva in a gold dispute.
Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the case.
"I can confirm a suspected murder case and attempted murder cases at Tipperary , Shamva in a gold clash," Mundembe said.
Allegations are that the gang being led by Gift Komeni and Charlse Mupedziswa popularly known as Chamboko stormed Shamva armed with axes, spears and machetes on a man hunt for people whom they suspected to have killed their colleagues on December 15 last year.
The gang disembarked from two unknown kombis and looked for their suspects in a revenge move.
They severely attacked Virimai Gutsa (41, Learnard Madzinga (26) Godious Chisadza (29)Molyn Kanjamuka were attacked on different places. While Farai Pfundi (41) was found dead with deep cuts all over the body.
The body of the deceased was taken to Shamva hospital for postmortem.
The suspects managed to escape and police is appealing for information which can lead to their arrest.
