Sex worker steals client's cellphone

THERE was drama at a local lodge in Bindura last week when a sex worker stole her client's mobile phone after a quick.
The matter came to light at Bindura magistrates courts on Wednesday where Ratchel Rupiya (22) appeared before magistrate Ruramai Chitumbura facing theft charges.
The court heard that on October 19 Mavhuto Manda (50) hired Rupiya for sex services at Mayfair Lodge Bindura around 9PM and after the act, the two proceeded to a bar at the same lodge.
They took a few drinks before Rupiya went back to the room and stole Manda's mobile phone valued at US$180.
Rupiya varnished after stealing the phone and when Manda discovered that his phone had been stolen he filed a police report.
The police managed to trace Rupiya who had sold the phone to a cell phone dealer Power Tinonza and the phone was recovered while Rupiya was arrested.
Sheila Kudzai Maribha prosecuted.
