Six perish in Mazowe road accident

Six people died last night at the 36 kilometres Harare-Mukumbura Highway when a haulage truck ferrying fertilisers from Beira to Bindura veered off the road and overturned.
Police Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the accident which occured near Mazowe Dam.
A witness Moses Juru said the haulage truck driver was blinded by the bright lights of a stationery vehicle before veering off the road.
'When the truck driver was blinded he ran over 4 members of the apostolic sect that were by the road side. In the haulage truck there were five people and two of them died, Juru said.
