Tout murdered at Macheso's show

A tragic altercation at an Alick Macheso show on Saturday night resulted in the death of popular Chiredzi tout, Wilson ‘Gokicho' Mushava. Gokicho was fatally stabbed while attempting to mediate a fight between two men at Masiza Nengere Gardens.
The incident occurred around 11 PM, confirmed Masvingo Assistant Provincial Police Spokesperson Assistant Inspector Masauso Patinyu.
Gokicho and his friends were outside the bar enjoying the show when Julius Mufuka approached and accused one of Gokicho's companions of stealing his beer. Armed with a knife, Mufuka attempted to stab the accused man.
Intervening to diffuse the situation, Gokicho escorted Mufuka to the bar to buy him another beer. However, moments later, Gokicho's friends received a message that he had been stabbed.
Upon rushing to the scene, they found Gokicho lying in a pool of blood, with a stab wound to the left side of his chest. He was rushed to Chiredzi District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police investigations are underway, and no arrests have been reported at the time of writing.
The incident has left the Chiredzi community in shock, as Gokicho was a well-known figure. Fans and attendees of the show have called for justice, urging authorities to ensure the perpetrator is held accountable.
