Professor Chavhunduka burial on Tuesday

The President of the Zimbabwe National Traditional Healers Association, (ZINATHA), Professor Gordon Chavhunduka who died on Friday will be laid to rest at the Dowa family farm in Mashonaland East on Tuesday afternoon.
Professor Chavhunduka, who was 81, died of cancer at the Avenues Clinic in Harare this Friday.
Family spokesperson and nephew to the late, Chris Mbanga said a church service will be held for the late traditionalist on Monday at the Anglican Cathedral in the capital before departure for Dowa where he will lie in state before burial on Tuesday afternoon.
Professor Chavhunduka served as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Zimbabwe between 1992 and 1996 before becoming ZINATHA president.
He will also be remembered for writing books on traditional medicine.
Professor Chavhunduka is survived by his wife Rachel, five children and eight grand children.
