'Teacher' arrested for raping minor

A TEACHER has been arrested for allegedly raping a Grade 4 pupil attending extra lessons in Hopley.
Collen Banda (48) of Hopley Zone 4, not attached to any school, was reported to have threatened the learner aged 12 and sexually assaulted her.
Banda had finished conducting a lesson with the learner and it was just the two of them the room.
The learner disclosed the assault leading to Banda's arrest.
Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the arrest.
"Police are investigating a case of rape involving a Grade 4 pupil during an extra lesson.
"The victim was escorted to MSF Edith Clinic Mbare for medical examination," said Insp Chakanza.
