Teen assaults prostitute over 'poor Service'

An 18-year-old man from Silobela has been convicted of assaulting a sex worker following an incident at Springvest Night Club in Kwekwe on 21 September 2025.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), the confrontation occurred around 9 PM after the victim had agreed to provide her services to the offender for a fee of US$5 for a "short time." After the encounter, the teenager demanded his money back, claiming he had not received value for his payment.
When the victim refused, the court heard, the man struck her on the forehead with an empty bottle, assaulted her with his fists, and pulled her dreadlocks.
The Kwekwe Magistrates' Court sentenced the offender to 12 months in prison, wholly suspended on the condition that he performs 315 hours of community service.
