JR Goddard conferred with Honorary PhD in Civil and Water Engineering

James Ross Goddard, popularly known as Nkosana, has been conferred with a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Civil and Water Engineering Honoris Causa by the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Zimbabwe's infrastructure and industrial development.
Goddard is the founder of J.R. Goddard Contracting, established in 1982, which has since completed over 200 major projects, including more than 100 dams such as the Bembezaan and Risitu Dams. His company has been instrumental in strengthening Zimbabwe's water security and infrastructure resilience over the past four decades.
Beyond construction, Goddard's business interests span mining and agriculture. His group employs over 2,000 people, contributing significantly to job creation and skills development. Among his key ventures is Ngezi Platinum Mine, as well as a thriving cattle ranch that produces around 1,000 cattle annually, demonstrating his diverse impact on the national economy.
