Mnangagwa condoles Kenya following Raila Odinga's death

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has extended his condolences to Kenyan President William Ruto and the people of Kenya following the passing of former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga on October 15.

In a statement, President Mnangagwa described Mr Odinga as a towering figure in Kenyan politics, renowned for his unwavering dedication to the development of his country.

"On behalf of the Government, the people of the Republic of Zimbabwe, my family and indeed on my own behalf, I extend to you, Your Excellency, and the bereaved Odinga family, our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences," President Mnangagwa said.

He added that the late former Prime Minister would be remembered for his distinguished service to Kenya and his commitment to shared regional and continental development goals. "We will forever cherish Mr Odinga's commitment to our shared regional and continental developmental aspirations," the statement read.
