The pass rate for the November 2025 Advanced Level examinations improved by 1.17 percentage points, rising from 94.58 percent in 2024 to 95.75 percent, the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) announced on Friday.

The results were released on Friday and are available on the ZIMSEC website.

ZIMSEC said a total of 36,635 candidates registered for the November 2025 examinations, up from 33,585 in 2024. Of these, 36,282 candidates sat for two or more subjects, with 34,740 obtaining grade E or better in at least two subjects.

Among school candidates, 31,451 registered for the examinations. Of that number, 31,296 wrote two or more subjects and 30,169 achieved at least two passes, translating to a pass rate of 96.39 percent.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tonderayi Moyo welcomed the results, highlighting continued improvements in examination integrity.

"This marks the third consecutive year in which our national examinations have been conducted and concluded without any leakages," Moyo said. "This is a remarkable achievement that underscores the ministry's unwavering commitment to upholding the integrity and credibility of our examination systems."

He said the success was the result of deliberate reforms, enhanced monitoring systems and strengthened security protocols implemented by the ministry and ZIMSEC.
