Mudenda shares notes with ZANU PF UK Chair
ZANU PF UK District official Xavier Zavare recently paid a courtesy call on the party's Secretary General, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, in a meeting that reaffirmed the strategic importance of diaspora districts to both Government and the ruling party.

The engagement, hosted by Advocate Mudenda, who also serves as Speaker of Parliament, emphasised the role of diaspora structures in advancing President Mnangagwa's Vision 2030, the national agenda to transform Zimbabwe into an upper middle-income economy.

"Anchored on the mantra 'leaving no one and no place behind,' the meeting highlighted how diaspora structures ensure that Zimbabweans outside the country remain actively involved in national development and political processes," Zavare said in a statement following the courtesy call.

The discussions recognised the steady growth of diaspora wings and commended their leadership for strengthening mobilisation, unity, and ideological clarity among members abroad.

"Notably, the party identified that these overseas districts have been instrumental in reshaping political perceptions, successfully re-engaging diasporans who previously held negative views about ZANU PF. This has contributed to a strengthened support base and enhanced the party's international outreach," Zavare added.

A key economic focus of the meeting was the strategic channelling of diaspora remittances—a major source of foreign currency inflow—towards nation-building. The discussions emphasised aligning these contributions, which support households, investment, skills transfer, and productive sectors, with broader national development priorities.

Zavare's visit to Advocate Mudenda underscores ZANU PF's ongoing commitment to formalising and integrating its diaspora networks as active participants in Zimbabwe's political and economic future.
