A 37-year marriage has collapsed after senior teacher Calisto Marezva abandoned his matrimonial home to move in with a former student, Lillian Komboni, sparking controversy in the Muzvezve Constituency.
Calisto, 62, and his ex-wife Diana Dorothea Gundu were married for nearly four decades and share three children and seven grandchildren. The senior teacher left his wife in January last year, choosing to reside with Lillian, who runs a bar at Donain Shopping Centre, where the couple now lives.

Last year, Diana filed a case seeking adultery damages from Lillian, claiming US$50,000 under case number NO46/25. Court documents reveal that Diana formally served Lillian, outlining the particulars of her claim and instructing her to enter an appearance to defend the case within seven days, or risk a default judgment.
On January 14, 2026, Lillian was served a second set of summons, requiring her to respond within five days. The notice warned that failure to respond would allow the magistrate's court to proceed with a default judgment in favour of Diana.
