Man arrested over fatal stabbing in Ntabazinduna

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed the arrest of Emanuel Phiri (24) in connection with a fatal stabbing incident that occurred at Mzenda Business Centre in Thokozani Village, Ntabazinduna.

According to police, Phiri allegedly stabbed Fortune Hadebe (33) following a misunderstanding during a snooker game on April 10, 2026.

The victim reportedly sustained a deep cut to the right hand and initially sought treatment at Ntabazinduna Clinic. He was later referred to United Bulawayo Hospitals for further medical attention.

However, Hadebe succumbed to the injury on April 11 before reaching the hospital.

Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
