Multi‑million‑dollar tenders awarded for ZETDC projects

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has awarded several domestic and international tenders worth millions of US dollars for electrical equipment, infrastructure, security services and specialised technology.
According to a tender award notice, the largest contract — valued at US$5.6 million — was awarded to Longshire Technology Group Co. Ltd for the supply and delivery of strategic spares, including overcurrent and frequency synchronising relays.
Trust Me Security Services received a US$4.7 million contract for security services, while Real Star Security Services was awarded another contract worth US$3.6 million for similar services.
BT Engineering and Projects Company secured a US$635,180 tender to supply 27 long‑range drones. Other awards covered short‑range drones, generators, transformers, testing equipment and specialised electrical components.
The procurement programme also includes construction of perimeter walls at various ZETDC facilities, a billing system, fuel dispenser pumps and equipment for the Mazoe 88kV Project.
Other successful bidders listed in the notice include Elegant Edge, Environmental Cleaners, Munnox Corporate Systems, Max Halve Electrical, Paramount Cable, Upgrade Projects and Dotne Construction.
The awards - some divided into separate lots - reflect ZETDC's ongoing procurement requirements as it seeks to maintain and strengthen Zimbabwe's electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure, contributing to broader discussions around power sector modernisation and utility procurement transparency.
