The court case involving National Democratic Working Group (NDWG) chairman and chief facilitator Job Wiwa Sikhala and his uncle, Alexander Thema, has been postponed to September 29, 2026, after the case docket was reportedly not brought to court.

The matter could not proceed as scheduled after the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) failed to produce the docket when the case came before the court.

The absence of the docket resulted in the proceedings being deferred, with the matter now set to return to court on September 29.

Those following the case described the unexplained absence of the docket as a "mysterious disappearance", although details surrounding its whereabouts were not immediately clear.

Attention is now expected to focus on why the docket was unavailable and whether it will be produced when the matter returns to court later this month.
