Gold panners invade graveyard

A group of illegal gold miners have invaded Norton Town cemetery, where they have dug trenches just a few metres from the graveyard.

The group is reportedly working under the auspices of Zanu-PF activist Sheila Mabasa, popularly known as Yondo Sister, who could not be reached for comment.

Environmental Management Agency spokesperson Steady Kangata said the agency would soon rope in the police for a joint blitz to drive away panners.
