Harare footbridge turned into holding bay for second hand clothes

A footbridge across the Julius Nyerere Way between town House and State House in Harare is reported to have been turned into a holding bay for the vendors who are selling second hand clothes. THis has been revealed by the Harare Residents Trust which said there was chaos to be

"The footbridge across Julius Nyerere Way sandwiched between Town House and State Lotteries, has become a warehouse or holding bay for second hand clothes for vendors who have occupied the space from Julius Nyerere up to Leopold Takawira St. Pedestrians now find it difficult to move," revealed the trust.

"There are chaos which appear to be instigated by organised political groupings."

Due to the escalating unemployment rate in the country there has been escalation of vendors in the urban areas which make it difficult for the city fathers to control their operations and collect revenue from them.

Zanu PF government has been blamed for destroying people's livelihoods.
