Mnangagwa prepared to fail

10 Apr 2018 at 10:01hrs | Views
I have been following reckless and misguided statements by Emmerson Mnangagwa especially soon after taking charge of Zimbabwe's highest office. In his inaugural speech as the new president of Zimbabwe, Mnangagwa promised to usher Zimbabwe into corrupt free society with equal opportunities for all. To my surprise ED has not yet dealt with corruption within the Zanu pf inner circle.

Zimbabweans are peace loving people to the extent that the truth is always hidden under the carpet. Vice President Constantine Chiwenga led the coup that removed the ailing Robert Mugabe from power in the name of removing criminal elements surrounding the First Family. To the surprise of many Zimbabweans same criminal elements are dining with Mnangagwa and Chiwenga daily. If Obert Mpofu and Supa Mandiwanzira to mention only a few for now are still dining with ED and Chiwenga then Mnangagwa is preparing to fail because he is protecting the most corrupt individuals.

During the coup Chiwenga used masses of Zimbabweans with the help from the Mutsvangwa to legitimise the Mnangagwa grab of power. Mnangagwa rose to power protect the most corrupt including himself. The 2017 coup in Zimbabwe was necessitated by the need to have access to resources and personal fights in Zanu pf. If Mnangagwa is preaching about removing criminal elements in government it will be welcome for him to resign first since he is guilty as charged.

Mugabe had overstayed his welcome but Mnangagwa and Chiwenga will never preach about good governance since they have been part of the Zanu pf machinery for the past 37 years. Giving Mnangagwa a vote in the upcoming elections is killing the future generations and endorsing corruption as a way of governance.

It is public knowledge that Mnangagwa and Chiwenga where part of the first coup in 2008 after Zanu pf was humiliated by MDC-T under the guidance of late Icon of democracy Morgan Tsvangirai. Chiwenga and his cronies in the army declared that they will never salute someone without liberation credentials which is totally against the constitution of Zimbabwe. Those statements are tantamount to a coup .Fast-forwarding to our the current predicament it will never happen if Chiwenga is still controlling army that corruption will be uprooted in Zimbabwe since he has been a machinist for abuse of power under the influence of his God father Robert Mugabe who has become their scapegoat today. ED and Chiwenga resemble a failed generation of power grabbing despots only devouring on poor, peace loving Zimbabweans.
