People should not celebrate death

26 Jan 2021 at 07:00hrs | Views
The country recently lost Cabinet ministers Sibusiso Moyo (Foreign Affairs), Joel Biggie Matiza (Transport) and Ellen Gwaradzimba (Manicaland Provincial Affairs), as well as former Primary and Secondary Education minister Aeneas Chigwedere and Zanu-PF politician Christopher Chigumba, among others, to COVID-19-related complications.

People, even the oppressed, do not celebrate death. Death scares every living creature and no one wishes it upon anyone. Death is permanent. Zanu-PF people are experiencing what the majority go through daily. Furthermore, Zanu-PF brought this on itself and every Zimbabwean now there is nowhere to hide.

Zanu-PF people cannot even travel to foreign lands to get treatment anymore. They plundered resources meant to prevent the pandemic thinking only the poor would die. They have caused untold and endless suffering on any-one not in their circle. Death is not just for the poor, but for everyone including those in Zanu-PF.

Make no mistake, the ordinary people are dying in their numbers, inarguably more than the Zanu-PF people.

People can finally see proof in real terms that death is for us all not just for the poor and downtrodden. People are not celebrating death.

What's there for the goats to sympathise with hyenas that are killing them?
