Time for Radical Revolution!!!
18 Mar 2015 at 04:27hrs | Views
There is a time to turn Radical if you want your party to gain momentum. Such a time comes in different ways which are either accidental, coincidental or by design.
Fame in politics does not just come, it IS MADE!!!
To make a name in Politics, one has to be part opportunist, part artist, part designer, and part astute in response to incidence.
The MDC-Renewal can turn Zimbabwean tables at this moment if they really want a revolution. They have just been expelled from Parliament and if they are crafty, they can create a name. Drastic Shock-And-Awe Earthquake is needed at some opportune moments in politics. Shock-And-Awe makes a memorable thunder which only happens once in a political moment.
Here are a few examples where astute politicians created their names:-
ANC
The Sharpeville Massacre occurred on 21 March 1960, at the police station in the South African township of Sharpeville in Transvaal(today part of Gauteng). After a day of demonstrations against the Pass laws, a crowd of about 5,000 to 7,000 black African protesters went to the police station. The next day ANC was announced around the World.
A few years later, The Soweto Uprising, also known as 16 June, were a series of protests led by high school students in South Africa that began on the morning of 16 June 1976.[1] Students from numerous Sowetan schools began to protest in the streets of Soweto in response to the introduction of Afrikaans as the medium of instruction in local schools. ANC grabbed the moment to make an indelible name.
Morgan Tsvangirai
In December 1997, attack by seven unknown persons who remain at large on ZCTU Secretary General Morgan Tsvangirai in which he was beaten unconscious (ibid.; Africa Confidential 20 Mar. 1998; Mail & Guardian 6 Mar. 1998). In March 1998 the ZCTU offices in Bulawayo were destroyed in a fire set by arsonists (ICFTU 18 Mar. 1998; SAPA 5 Mar. 1998). As part of its campaign to curb the ZCTU's influence, the government also reportedly provided funding to the rival Zimbabwe Federation of Trade Unions (Africa News 15 Apr. 1998) and ordered a news blackout of ZCTU activities by state-owned media (ICFTU 18 Mar. 1998). Morgan Tsvangirai invented his name there!
MDC-Renewal
What has the MDC-Renewal done which brings them into revolution politics? Something thunderous and so loud enough to be recorded in the History books of the World has to be done following this ejection from Parliament. Silence and imaginative following without works does not work in politics.
Arise And Shine if you want to be recognised in politics. At the moment, we I can't remember how I can reference your valour.
Criticise or not, look at Dzamara!
