Education ministry letting parents down

Dear Editor'
Please allow me to express my disgruntlement to the Ministry of Education for failing to take action over Dudley Hall Primary School SDC (School Development Committee) in Norton. During mid-term of the schools' second term, the district education officer from Chegutu and his team visited the school after inviting parents for what she called a crisis meeting.
During the meeting, it was revealed to us that following an audit which was carried out by government auditors, it was established that the chairperson and his team were not conducting school business as per requirements as they were alleged to have been violating some sections of the act which regulate SDCs. The district education officer and her auditors went on to provide their findings which left many of us parents who were present shell shocked as we could not come to terms with what was alleged to be happening at our beloved school.
After following all due process which would then have empowered the ministry to remove the SDC from office and call for fresh polls, we are still saddened as that event never occurred. As parents, we are worried who is running the school besides the head and his deputy whom we believe cannot do it alone for transparency's sake. I would not want to believe that the same people whom the ministry found offside are still running our school.
Please whoever is in charge at National level, assist us before we continue to lose our hard earned monies to dishonest individuals who purport to be serving the interests of us parents when they have their own agendas of milking the school.
Worried Parent.
