Former Dynamos forward and Highlanderss trialist, Rodreck Mutuma has turned to God.
The forward has not wasted any time in trying to convince Highlanders bosses that he is no longer a bad boy after being spotted attending services at Family Covenant Church's since last week.
Mutuma together with senior players like Sydney Linyama and Stephen Alimenda were offloaded due to discipline issues at the Harare giants.
Desperate to clinch a contract with Bosso, Mutuma has gone an extra mile to convince the Bulawayo side bosses by giving his life to Christ.
"He (Mutuma) has been going to church since he arrived in Bulawayo," a well-placed source said.
"He said his decision to quit alcohol was not a desperate measure to get a contract but a life time decision. He claims his recent decision is not temporal."
Mutuma has been undergoing training under the watchful eye of Dutch coach, Elroy Akbay.
Akbay and his lieutenants that include his assistant Amini Soma- Phiri and goalkeepers' coach Cosmas Zulu have reached a consensus on bringing on Mutuma but the Highlander top hierarchy is said to be divided over his signature.
A well-wisher is said to have volunteered to pay for Mutuma's sign on fees.
Mutuma was born in Mvuma and his soccer career started in Zhombe at Mopani Primary School.
