Benni MacCarthy saw red as Maritzburg came from a goal down to beat Orlando Pirates 2-1 at Harry Gwala Stadium.
McCarthy had give Bucs the lead, but was shown a second yellow on the stroke of halftime.
Maritzburg made the most of this and leveled through Diyo Sibisi, before Mor Diouf got the winner with a header from a free-kick.
