GOVERNMENT plans to establish school development programmes by rolling out OneWallet agents throughout the country that will make it easier for parents to pay school fees.
Speaking at the OneWallet relaunching ceremony in Harare, the Minister of Information and Communication Technology and Postal and Courier Services Webster Shamu said OneWallet is a mobile banking platform which incorporates money transfers, sending, receiving cash as well as paying bills.
"NetOne is always lagging behind because of bureaucracy in government resulting in some of its ideas getting stolen before implementation," Shamu said.
He said although the facility has existed for years only to NetOne subscribers, it will now operate across all mobile networks in Zimbabwe.
