Zimbabwean businessman, Tapfuma Nzara, creating a valuable lifestyle brand in SA

Musician and businessman, Tapfuma Nzara, has come a long way and achieved a lot in and outside his music career.
Tapfuma was born in Zimbabwe and his father is a former DJ and club owner and his late mother worked with renowned Zimbabwean singers, the late Andy Brown and Chiwaniso Maraire.
In an interview with OneVybe Magazine, Tapfuma, also known as TMula, says that multitasking comes naturally to him and pursuing music and business has not been a challenge.
Tapfuma added that he has has a good team helping him create a valuable brand in his luxury car rental service and entertainment services.

On how he started the luxury car rental business, VIP Luxury Car Rental JHB, Tapfuma said it made sense because the cars were there already and he spotted a business opportunity.
VIP Luxury Car Rental JHB provides a largely chauffeur driven service to a select clientele and the fleet of cars includes a Maserati and Bentley amongst others.

The business mainly caters to travelling businesspeople but they have also supplied to notable video music productions including P Square's Testimony and Davido and Mafikizolo's Tchelete.

Music is one of Tapfuma's passions and through BabyRas Entertainment, he says he has proved himself to industry veterans.
One of his goals is to break any negative perceptions about Africa's entertainment industry.
During his time in business, Tapfuma has forged good relations with some of the giants in South Africa's music video production industry, including Justin Campos, the founder of 'Gorilla Films.'
and Mike Ogoke the founder of #home">Godfather Productions.
The 29-year-old has been writing songs since he was 14 and his music is a mix of hip hop and dance-hall and one of the rap songs he wrote and recorded features in Leon Schuster's box office hit movie 'Mama Jack.'
Tapfuma is due to release his third mix-tape and a video for his song 'Zimbabwe' is already out.

On what inspired him to choose his music genre, Tapfuma says: "My parents separated when I was very young. This meant that I grew up in two places as I lived with Dad but visited Mum on holidays.
"Mum's family had a very strong rasta/dancehall influences and my dad's had very strong hip hop influences so both grew on me.
"As a result, my music is a pure equilibrium of both."
