Return of the 'Tsholotsho Poison'

JOHANNESBURG - Known as the Tsholotsho Poison in music circles for his breath-taking Kwaito hits, Promise 'DJ Mapressa' Sibanda is set to release another scintillating album titled; Tsholotsho v Diepsloot: Asambeni.
The first of the Tsholotsho v Diepsloot series was produced and engineered by Maro 'DJ Maro' Nthiole at Blackdash Studios. Five of the tracks was composed by the South African born DJ Maro whilst the rest composed by the Tsholotsho born Mapressa who is also a lead vocalist.
Set to be released next month, Asambeni boasts of hits like; Tsholotsho v Diepsloot, Asambeni and Ngiyakuthanda. The album will feature legendary comedians Omkhula Arts, Maskandi great Zinjaziyamluma and the popular Platiform One. Mapressa (25) also remixes a Rhumba song in all his albums. The once popular MaDumani by Thusanani Band will feature in Asambeni whilst Makhabo by Ndux Jr was earlier.
The former Tsholotsho High student is optimistic he will succeed in this tough industry and experts Kwaito to gain more support.
"I am here to revive Kwaito after a slope in popularity, I was impressed by the support I got from shows I held at rural areas. My music caters for all age groups and it's not all about pumping beats that keeps people on their toes, I encourage people to hold on and achieve their goals. Youths must concentrate on their studies before attempting to pursue their careers through their talents," said Mapressa.
A diski-jockey at parties and night clubs, he also produced Petty Cash's album; Top Class. Inspired by the Kwaito hero Proffessor, the Tsholotsho born youngster has two albums under his belt; Badidwa yisubhu released last year and this year's Iskhwama segintsa.
