SOUTH AFRICAN musician Freddy Gwala is set to jet into the country tonight ahead of his collaboration with dancer-cum-musician Beverly Sibanda as part of her album launch on Friday.
Freddy Gwala is featured together with rhumba chanter Shiga Shiga (real name Gift Katulika) on the album "Tapinda".
"Everything is set for the show that is scheduled to take place at the City Sports Bar thanks to our sponsors. Pacific, Carex Condoms and other players in the corporate world came through for us to make this possible.
"We have arranged for people to interact with Freddy Gwala at a Press conference at the Private Lounge," said Sibanda's manager, Hapaguti Mupamhidze.
He added that Peter Moyo will also perform at the show, while Doctor Tawanda will collaborate on one of the songs with the raunchy dancer.
"Bev is following in the footsteps of Botswana dance queen Naledi Kaisara better known as Slizer. I urge fans to come in their numbers in order to see the brand new Bev," he said.
Bev, as she has come to be known, will release a six- track album that is heavily inclined to the South African "di gong" beat.
The rest of the songs have a rhumba feel to them.
Many, however, look forward to her collaboration with the "Amadamara" hitmaker on the song "Tiya Moya (Unity)".
