South African house music group Uhuru will perform at Belgravia Sports Club in Harare on Independence eve.

The group, which will collaborate with Willom Tight on his forthcoming album, is being brought to Zimbabwe by Bass and Style in conjunction with Divine Concert Sound.

Tavona "DJ T Bass" Gukuta, the event director, is delighted to be involved in bringing the popular South African group.

"Uhuru in Swahili means freedom and as youngsters we find it worthy to celebrate Zimbabwe's independence with the sounds of freedom from the group Uhuru," said DJ T Bass.

"I urge fans to come in their numbers because this is not a show to miss considering that Uhuru is currently one of the most popular groups on the continent. We are going to give the best in our performances," he said.

The Y Tjukutja hit-makers will be supported by local artistes who include Pee Kay, Judgement Yard, MMT and High Definition among others.
