Shoko Festival takes it to the Hood

Shoko Festival curtains are billed to finally come down on Sunday 25th of September at Chitungwiza Unit L Community Hall grounds, with its traditional "Peace In the Hood" concert which brings yet another incredible line up of acts that have a unique balance between genres as artistes take turns to take their last bow to the festival goers after running for three days.
The free entry show will see thousands of revelers enjoy a program that includes Hip Hop, Zimdancehall, DJs on turntables, Hip Hop dance battles and loads more.
Bernadette M, MC Cho Cho will pave way for Mutare based female chanter MK Hombakadzi (formerly known as MK47) who returns to the stage after a fired up performance she put up last year. DJ Traveler will take to the decks as Jibilika prepares to bring on stage their hip hop dance battles that fulfil the hip hop culture.
As the sun sets the festival will affirm its annual theme 'Come Alive' as Dobba Don takes to the stage to perform his hit songs which include Mudendere, Cheu among many others the artist has produced since his rise to fame. Zim Hip Hop man of the moment, Ti Gonz who is behind hits like Zvenyu and Makawoma that features Ras Caleb will perform right before Judgment Yard has their fair share of the stage. Norwegian outfit, African Sunz will be the international act as they are set to perform on the day representing Norwegian Hip hop.
Peace in the Hood at Shoko festival has provided a rare opportunity for budding artists to share the stage with prominent artists, a vibrant concert in the townships. Some of the artists that have performed in the previous editions include Dhadza D, Symbiz (Germany), Black Twang (UK), Junior Brown, Guspy Warrior, Hope Masike, Ba Shupi and many more.
