CINCINNATI, OHIO - The wife of Zimbabwe's ambassador to the United States, Priscilla Mutembwa, has promised to cater for the welfare of thousands of Zimbabweans living in America.
Speaking at the Women of Dominion International conference attended by 250 people, which ended Sunday in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mutembwa said she will try to reach out to Zimbabweans living in USA, who normally struggle to renew their passports and access basic services.
She said her husband, Ammon Machingambi Mutembwa, has an open door policy, and promised to attend to the needs of all Zimbabweans while at the same time giving them some spiritual healing.
Mutembwa also urged women attending the conference, which started Thursday under the theme 'Ebenezer', to pray for the southern African nation currently dogged by serious social, economic and political problems.
Ministers of religion took turns to pray for conference attendants and people who did not attend the event saying God is the answer to all their problems.
One of the key prayer events was conducted by Pastor Marvellous Ndlovu, who stressed the need for married women to guard against evil and protect their marriages and families.
The conference, filled with the Holy Spirit, also focused on health, jobs, premarital relationships and related issues in several thematic sessions meant to lift the spirits of Zimbabweans living in America and other parts of the world.
Other notably pastors who attended the event included Women of Dominion International leader, Evangelist Florence Ndlovu, Pastor Adonis Khupe-Ayemi, Reverand Mudambanuki, Pastor Jeneth Davis and Pastor Catherine Marurama with music provided by Musa Ndlovu.
Fifteen female pastors and several pastors' wives attended the conference.
Pastor Marurama, an international speaker who has travelled all over the world with unique and powerful anointing sessions on spiritual and financial prosperity, delivered a powerful spiritual sermon under the theme "Rupture Ready".
She warned the gathering that rapture is near and so women should be ready when redemption day comes.
Pastor Marurama gave her own testimony noting that like any other person she is a human being and at a certain stage in her life she found herself wanting and had to turn around from her weaknesses.
She encouraged women to examine themselves and take corrective measures to correct everything that has been their major challenge. The sermon brought most attendants to tears.
All sessions were flavored with music, mostly Zimbabwean-language hymns and sermons were also delivered in the same language.
