CHAOS has reportedly rocked Jerusalem Apostle church over the "magical cloth" which was left by the late church founder Madzibaba Joseph.

It is believed that the "cloth" was smeared with magical powers and the late chief priest used it for healing purposes.

A church member only identified as Madzibaba Makuvire revealed that as a result of fights over the cloth, the church was now divided into two factions worshipping at different shrines.

It is reported that for the past month, the faction led by Madzibaba Goto which is in possession of the cloth has failed to hold its services as the other faction comes to disrupt them, demanding the cloth.

"The late chief priest left a cloth which he used to perform miracles. Since Madzibaba Goto was very close to him, it happened that by the time of his death, the cloth was in his possession. He continued using it and refused to give it to other elders to use it which led to misunderstandings at the church. The bitter elders then advised Madzibaba Josephs family to demand their father's cloth, but Madzibaba Goto refused. This resulted in them leaving the church and starting their own faction," said Madzibaba Makuvire.

When Madzibaba Goto was contacted for comment, he confirmed the reports saying, "Our late leader entrusted the cloth with me and there are reasons why he did that. I will never give the doth to anyone as long as I am still strong and able to do church duties. People who are demanding the cloth are bogus and do not have healing powers and rushing to the media will not help them in any way" he declared.

Madzibaba Elijah, one of the elders leading the faction which includes family members of late Madzibaba Joseph said, "We will not rest until we get the cloth because it is supposed to be given to the late leader's family members."
