Highlanders Football Club fans have been urged to ignore the fact that their team received a bus through Zanu PF linked people and continue to support the team fore its better achievements.
Methuseli Moyo said now that hullabaloo about the bus handover ceremony has come and gone, true Highlanders FC supporters and members must continue with what we know best - supporting our team.
"For the benefit of those who did not watch yesterday's one-all draw with How Mine, the match itself was tense and intriguing, with How Mine using their experience, height, weight and stamina against our relatively younger and smaller boys," said Moyo.
"Credit goes to two of our experienced players, captain Eric Mudzingwa and goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda who stood their ground. For the benefit of those who do not know what I am talking about, How Mine had "war veterans" such as Tapuwa Kumbuyani, Kuda Musharu, Mernard Mupera, Benjamini Marere, Limited Chikafa and others who have been to every team in Zimbabwe."
He said one the other hand, Bosso fielded Teenage Hadede, Thomas Chideu, Knox Mutizwa, King Nadolo and Webster Chingodza, who are in their early 20s.
"From my own perspective, it was fantastic for our boys to hold such seasoned campaigners, and this points to a bright future for Bosso," said Moyo. "The supporters came in their numbers and the atmosphere was electric. Full credit to coach Bongani Mafu for his courage to look into the future."
