Biti, coalition of cheetahs will not work

I thought when former MDC-T secretary general, Tendai Biti decided to part political ways with his former boss Morgan Tsvangirai in early 2014 he had considered better approaches and ideologies that can support Government in developing the country's economy.
Biti was appointed by his party officials and supporters to be the leader of Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) this year (2015). It is unfortunate that since he was appointed as the PDP leader, there is indeed no difference that has been noted yet between his opposition party and his former party, MDC-T.
As a learned someone, Biti should proffer tangible ideas and solutions to the Government that are necessary for economic growth.
Whilst addressing a handful of his party structures in Mashonaland East, Murewa Center last weekend, Biti nonsensically mentioned that he was going to urge Zimbabweans to use the national Constitution to stop ZANU-PF from governing. However he failed to elaborate on how he would use the constitution to stop ZANU PF from governing.
As a lawyer, Biti must be cognizant of what the Constitution say about the election process and how a person becomes Head of State. President Mugabe is in office today because the people voted for him in 2013 and he won resoundingly against his rivals. Biti knows quite well that President Mugabe`s victory was clear and no wonder why he and his party failed to challenge the President`s victory in court.
One would really wonder what percentage the electorate in Biti's party occupies here in Zimbabwe. Tendai's party is just like a new kid on the block which needs to grow its footsteps. In actual fact Biti is a failed politician who is hunting for sympathy from other political parties.
When he weaned himself off from the MDC-T most people thought Biti was now a mature and independent politician. But alas, Biti is a spent force who can't stand by himself. He is actually looking for support from other opposition political outfits.
Quoted in a local daily press, Biti said his party will work with other political parties who believe in achieving a better life for all. In his address Biti also said that he would "create a coalition of cheetahs" to remove ZANU-PF from power.
Honestly, what cheetahs are being talked of by Biti here? Maybe Biti meant a coalition of ‘cheaters'. Surely, who do you want to cheat here Mr Biti? The public and other political parties must resist from being fooled by this sympathy seeker. Anyone to take Biti's ideas should do so at his/her own peril. Biti plotted his own demise by dumping Tsvangirai. The man might be in serious financial constrains hence calling other political parties to join his PDP. In short, Biti is an obstinate political discard.
What makes Biti thinks that a coalition of failed politicians will actually eliminate the ruling party from power? Isn't it a fact that a combination of dumb ideas will worsen the situation? It is true when they say too many cooks spoil the soup.
Like his former leader (Tsvangirai), Biti is bankrupt of ideas. Biti claims that the Harare- Nyamapanda highway remains in the same state as during the Smith regime when it was constructed.
It is worrisome that Biti fails to appreciate the programmes under Zim-Asset that Government is currently carrying out. As it stands many major roads in the country are being rehabilitated. If Biti is unaware of these projects, he should be encouraged to travel in some of these roads like Harare-Bulawayo-Plumtree highway so that he can witness that there is development taking place.
Most people will agree with me that Government is doing a lot in terms of infrastructural development.
What surprises me is that Biti, during the Government of National Unity (GNU) failed to disburse funds for road rehabilitations in his capacity as Minister of Finance.
If Biti is campaigning for 2018, he should find better ways or other campaigning strategies rather than just waffling and attacking Government for nothing.
