ZANU PF Mashonaland West Women's League Provincial Chairlady, Cde Constance Shamu, last Thursday officiated at the graduation ceremony of sewing students at Rasper Skills Training Centre in Zvimba East.
The six-month programme, run by the Women's League, equips participants with practical skills for certification and economic empowerment.
This was revealed by ZANU PF affiliate group Varakashi4ED through their X account, which noted that the Women's League Skills Programme 'paves way for Vision 2030'.
"The colourful event was attended by the local community, party leaders, traditional leaders and school pupils proudly dressed in uniforms made at the centre," reads the post.
In her address, according to Varakashi, Shamu congratulated the graduates and urged them to embrace discipline, innovation and commitment in their ventures.
"Our elders fought and won the political struggle that brought us independence. Now the young generation must win the economic struggle through skills and education," she said.
She emphasised that Vision 2030 is achievable through skills training, farming and entrepreneurship, applauding the high participation of young women as proof of President @edmnangagwa's commitment to women's empowerment.
Shamu also encouraged graduates to engage ZimTrade for market opportunities and pledged to facilitate linkages.
She further toured sewing projects and a poultry hatchery donated by Mai @Cde_MMChinomona, which continues to empower the community.
The ceremony marked yet another milestone in Mashonaland West's drive to empower women and transform communities in line with Vision 2030.
