Paul Mwazha dies

Archbishop Paul Mwazha, the founder and leader of the African Apostolic Church, has died at the age of 107.

The church confirmed his passing in a statement issued by General Secretary Bishop Jeshua Mhizha on Wednesday, November 20, 2025. "Good morning! The African Apostolic Church, Va Apostora ve Africa. I regret to inform you that Our Archbishop, Paul Mwazha of Africa, our church leader, has just passed on today. He has departed from us, but in spirit we are together with him," the statement read.

The church indicated that further information regarding funeral arrangements and commemorations will be released in due course, urging followers to honour the late Archbishop's legacy in faith.

Archbishop Mwazha was one of Zimbabwe's most prominent religious figures, revered for his decades of spiritual leadership and for establishing a church that has grown across the country and beyond.
